Reading
Meghan Daum’s The Unspeakable: And Other Subjects of Discussion, still. I’m thinking of dipping into Barry Schwabsky’s Words for Art like I said I would.
Writing
Something for Quiet Company this week. :) I’m setting a writing goal for myself. I am definitely not currently writing the last chapter of my RPF, haha.
Listening
The Drums. Gasp-shock. I’m weaning myself, but not like, deliberately. Haha. I just needed a change in tunes, I guess! Today I also listened to Menomena, Brand New, The Mountain Goats, Tegan and Sara, The National, and Death Cab for Cutie.
Thinking
Nothing specifically ground-breaking or anything, but I’m just trying to keep it together. Or something. Like, I’ve been gearing myself to go full-on productive since like, 4 this afternoon. And yet.
Smelling Watching
I’ve got a lot of backlog, but I think the last thing I watched was a video for The Drums’ “How It Ended” and One Direction performing “No Control” and “18,” both for the first time on their current tour, over at their Brussels show.
Wishing
I was naturally inclined to “get stuff done” and know my priorities.
Hoping
That those things can be learned. I mean, I sound like a broken record, don’t I?
Wearing
A Uniqlo Light Weight Cotton roundneck, which they have unfortunately discontinued years ago (they’re still my fave) and boxers. I have half of my hair in a top knot and it looks atrocious.
Loving
MY AESOP AND ANTIPODES STUFF. I swear I smell like the fucking meadow when I emerge from the shower.
Wanting
Money. I mean, if we’re going to be upfront about stuff.
Needing
… to realize that not everything is about money?
Feeling
Really conflicted about my intense and sudden burst of affection towards Nicholas Grimshaw. Like?
Clicking
Nothing fun to share, off the top of my head, right now—sorry. Just kidding, I’m dumb. This happened a few days ago, but: Ingrid Nilsen’s Coming Out video! RIGHT. YES. Here, watch it please:
Okay, that’s that. I’m still reeling + gathering my thoughts, etc. Hope you all have a lovely rest of Sunday + a great week ahead. I hope the same for me, too.
